We are a class of Year 1 children.
Our teachers are Mrs Jones and Mrs Hutt. Our teaching assistants are Mrs Kirby and Mrs Smith. Mrs Hawley and Ms Logan work across all classes. Ms Ball are our active teaching assistant doing forest school and working with groups of children.
We also have lots of resources to help us to learn and we share the outdoor area with Red Base.
We have volunteer helpers in our class, including parents.
We go on lots of visits and have lots of visitors in to school to help us to learn.
We have been to the seaside, local museums and galleries.
Our topics this year include:
Autumn 1 | What Makes Me Special? |
Autumn 2 | What Were Toys like in the Past? |
Spring 1 | Who Lived in a Castle? |
Spring 2 | How Does Your Garden Grow? |
Summer 1 | How Do Bees Make Honey? |
Summer 2 | What Lives in the Ocean? |
Yellow Base have P.E every Wednesday and Thursday. Children require shorts and a t-shirt and a pair of pumps for indoor P.E. Please make sure your child also has an outdoor P.E kit too. (jogging bottoms and a jumper/hoodie are most appropriate). Earrings must be removed for P.E. If your child cannot remove these independently then please can you do so before they come to school.
Learning Logs are sent home every Friday and need to be returned to school by the following Wednesday.
Please make sure your child’s reading record and key words are in their book bag every day.
Please don’t hesitate to speak to Mrs Jones or Mrs Hutt before or after school if you have any queries.
Forest School Is Friday
