Broomhill Infant School aims to provide a happy, supportive and secure environment in which children can enjoy their early school years.
Through the many varied aspects of our school life we encourage all our children to gain confidence, become independent and achieve high standards.

They benefit from a question based, varied and imaginative curriculum whilst also enjoying the benefits of our wildlife garden, the spacious and recently renovated playground and new food technology facilities.

The children’s experience of school is enhanced by the diversity of the school population: the children and staff particularly enjoy the rich variety of multicultural opportunities that this offers.

Our most recent OFSTED inspection was in November 2023. It judged the school to be Good in its current effectiveness and its ability to improve. It recognised the high educational standards we achieve and the effective management of the school, resulting from the hard work of staff with the support of governors and in close partnership with parents and the community. A copy of the report is available on the OFSTED website or on this website.

The school gained Fairtrade School status in September 2016.

Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Level 5 Award was granted in July 2017.

In Round 9 - Autumn 2015 our school qualified for the Primary Science Quality Mark - Silver.

Also in 2023/24 our fabulous PE was recognised and we were granted Gold Sportsmark Award.

The school was re accredited with The International Schools Eco Green Flag in January 2016 for recognition of its work on becoming and sustaining being an Eco School.

We are able to offer wrap around school care through Broomhill Breakfast and Tea Time Club.  This provision is provided by school staff. Details can be obtained from the school office.

The ‘Friends of Broomhill School’, (FOBS) is an active group of parents which raises funds for the school. In recent years this has enabled us to finance a super 'willow dome' in the garden, a mud kitchen for Foundation Stage, a new walk in sandpit, an outdoor reading area and many other special things.   Our children go on to several local junior schools and we have linked status with Nether Green Junior School which consistently achieves high standards.

We hope to be able to welcome you and your children to our school.
