Blue Base Year 2

We are a Y2 class and our teachers are Miss Jones and Mrs Hawley.  The teaching assistant in our class is Miss Middleton-Lund. Mrs Hawley and Ms Logan work across all classes. 

Ms Ball are our active teaching assistants doing forest school and working with groups of children.

We have lots of volunteer helpers in our class, including parents.

We go on lots of visits and have lots of visitors in to school to help us to learn.  We love to learn outdoors.

On our visits we have been to local museums and galleries, Diggerland, Yorkshire Sculpture Park and we will visit Whirlow Hall Farm for a residential each summer.

Blue Base have P.E every Monday and Wednesday. Children require shorts and a t-shirt and a pair of pumps for indoor P.E. Outdoor P.E. is on a Wednesday in the warmer months. Please make sure your child has an outdoor P.E kit. This can be jogging bottoms and a jumper. Earrings must be removed for P.E. If your child cannot remove these independently then please can you do so before they come to school.

Please return Learning Logs and spellings by Wednesday, new tasks will be sent home on Friday.

Please make sure your child’s reading record are in their book bag every day.
